General :
Work Included
Roller Shutters shall be plain/ perforated roller shutter fabricated by Al Murjan Metal Ind. L.L.C., United Arab Emirates.
Furnish and Install all Rolling Steel Shutter work including accessories shall be as referred or shown by the respective products detailed by Al Murjan Metal Ind. L.L.C.
Related Work Opening preparation, structural metal work, access panels, finish or field painting, eld electrical wiring, wire, conduit, fuses, and disconnect switches are in the scope of the work of other divisions or trades.
Product :
Curtain
Lateral Movement of the slats to be contained by means of stamped nylon end clips to the ends of every other slat. Stamped-nylon end clips are standard on all doors.
Slats :
The curtain shall consist of interlocking at slats, roll-formed from 0.6mm, 0.8mm, or maximum 1.0mm, for commercial quality, hot-dipped, and galvanized. Plain Slats or shall be punched with a series of perforation to approximate (1.6mm-2.5mm) diameter holes across their entire length, providing ventilation and visibility through slats up tp 40 to 60%.
Guides :
The guides shall be preferred as per the site conditions required, that shall be referred by AL Murjan Metal Ind. L.L.C. However, standard shall be steel box-type, fabricated from 13 gauge, galvanized or painted steel as required.
Bracket :
The bracket plates for mounting curtain and barrel assembly shall be a minimum of 10 gauges, hot-dipped, galvanized steel.
Barrel :
The barrel shall be made from a minimum 4-1/2” (114.3mm) O.D. X .120” (3.1mm) wall structural steel pipe. Deflection of pipe under full load shall not exceed .03” (.8mm) per foot of span. All 4” (102mm) and 6” (152mm) barrels shall include a galvanized steel removable plug to facilitate counterbalance maintenance.
Hood :
Hood shall be supplied upon request and fabricated as per the site conditions.
Operation :
Electrical operation with minimum of 600kg capacity heavy-duty roller shutter motor manufactured by M/S Zhejiang Xianfeng Machinery Factory. Manual operations to be provide with chain pulley built-in the motor.
Finish :
Curtains and guides shall be galvanized steel and powder coated to standard available RAL Colors.
Warranty :
Standard Roller Shutter and its components shall be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of one year from the date of delivery to the original purchaser.
Execution
Installation :
Al Murjan Standard Roller Shutter shall be installed by technicians or authorized Al Murjan Distributor.
